Lorzie lost 20+ pounds and transformed her body with healthy eating habits and exercise. After a traumatic experience, she turned to fitness to release her frustration and anger. She learned that transformation takes time, patience, consistency, and discipline.
I started my weight loss journey after a traumatic experience that left me broken and confused. I turned to fitness as a way to let out all of my frustrations and anger. In the process, I came to the realization that I am one strong, resilient, powerful, and unbreakable woman. – One who has walked through the darkest of storms, yet learned how to fight and how to persevere.
I learned the true meaning of self-love and how to let go of the negative thoughts I held about myself (aesthetically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually). Now, I use fitness as a tool to strengthen my character. I want to see how far I will go and how much I’m willing to put forth in MYSELF to get better.
Transform You Fitness (TYF) gym in Tampa, FL, was exactly what I needed to jumpstart my motivation. As a Caribbean woman, I wasn’t raised up learning what a correct diet consisted of. TYF helped me get to a point where I now love veggies and various proteins. Now I know of all types of healthy carbs.
I worked out four days a week for 30 intense minutes doing HIIT and plyometric exercises, all while incorporating weights.
Throughout this two year journey, I have transformed my body into whatever I wanted. I lost weight (40 lbs), and I’ve gained healthy weight (25 lbs). My height is 5’6″, and my starting weight was 180-185 pounds. I dropped to 140-145 pounds, and now I’m maintaining my weight at 165 pounds.
For those looking to lose weight, I say PATIENCE is key! You will not have your dream body overnight, and not even in a few months. Transforming your body takes time, patience, consistency, and, most of all, DISCIPLINE. It may seem challenging some days, but it will be worth it. Be confident, and enjoy the process. Your hard work will not go unnoticed.
